Kait and Bree pen score for new musical based on popular ROSIE REVERE, ENGINEER series

Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk, the composing team currently represented Off-Broadway with The Mad Ones, are developing a new children's musical based on Andrea Beaty's Rosie Revere book series (Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; Ada Twist, Scientist). With the working title Rosie Revere, Engineer, and Friends the project features a book by playwright Lauren Gunderson, lyrics by Kerrigan, and music by Lowdermilk.

Peter Flynn recently directed a reading with Theatreworks USA, which produces theatre for young audiences and families. The cast included Andréa Burns (In the Heights, On Your Feet!), Alyse Alan Louis (Amelie, Disaster!), Nicole Powell (Ragtime, Hairspray), Destinee Rea (Amelie) and Daniel Quadrino (Newsies, Wicked). Dan Garmon served as music director, and Marco Santana choreographed.
